The tideland lacked any sign of life with the only exception of the tiny excremental loops of Arenicola marina, the blow lug, also known as Wattwurm. It took me about 15min to find just one (!) shell to take home. So the Edinburgh coast ecosystem seems to be not rich of life but offers at least a high degree of esthetics at your feet.Tuesday, June 12, 2007

The tideland lacked any sign of life with the only exception of the tiny excremental loops of Arenicola marina, the blow lug, also known as Wattwurm. It took me about 15min to find just one (!) shell to take home. So the Edinburgh coast ecosystem seems to be not rich of life but offers at least a high degree of esthetics at your feet.
