The Royal Mile

This is the famous Royal Mile of Edinburgh spanning the distance between the current summer residency of Queen Mum and Edinburgh castle. Cars are not allowed, so you may have a relaxed shopping walk along the empty street.
The Royal Mile is lined with dozens of souvenir stores (all selling the same stuff in green, red or blue), dungeon attractions and cafes. Every 20m you are asked by a freaky-dressed guy to join him for the next tour which is mostly called like "Trip to the death", "Cemetery walk" or "Meet the ghosts of Edinburgh".
