Parasols rule!

As you can see on the photos of evidence we found tons of edible (!) Riesenschirmpilze or parasol mushrooms (Macrolepiota procera) during our several hour hike through the forests around Berlin. Lucy was about half of the height of the mushroom on the picture, and this was just a medium one! We found mushrooms up to 50cm tall and 40cm in diameter, but for sure these exemplars were old and dry in flesh texture, so we did not pick them for dinner. But there were enough younger mushrooms. At the end six persons ate theirselves fill and the best thing is they are not even the biggest mushrooms you can find, but they are also one of the most delicious species in the world! :-) Parasols rule!
